marines, and asvab test scores questions?
ok i want to join the marines, and i only want to be like a grunt or infantry or whatever its called, i took the full version of the asvab test on military.com, it was 200 questions i think, and the only subject i really scored ok in was Paragraph Comprehension, i scored a 86.7% on that, next down was word knowledge was at like 60% or something, yeah i know im dumb or some shit but i was just wondering if that is even good enough to get into the marines, let alone the job as a grunt/infantry?

William asks…
is my ASVAB SCORE good enough?
i took a practice test at a recruiters office and scored a 53 when i was finished..he said i did very well on the paragragph comprehension, did exceptional on math knowledge, did excellent on arithemetic( i was suprised at that) but only got half of the word knowledge questions right..he gave me some words to study and also told me not to share it with anyone else because it could risk his job, ok but thats another story
anyways i scored a 52 and i was wondering what jobs could i get with that score, i don’t want to anything like being a cook or something, i want to do something meaningful and important for my country…is my asvab score good enough for a job like that???
By the way, i’m not enlisting until january and i will be placed in the future solider program(formerly known as DEP i think) so i can finish community college

PracticeASVABQuestions.com answers:
Your score was a prediction of how you SHOULD do on the actual ASVAB, so there is no way anyone can tell you what jobs you may or may not qualify for.
I would suggest you start reading, at least 1 hour per day of virtually anything. Keep a dictionary handy to look up the words you don’t understand, as doing so will also let you learn what other words mean the same thing.
That is advice I gave to literally dozens of potential recruits during my 18 years with USAREC and everyone of them that followed it, improved their projected scores by an average of 20 points.
Good luck to you in your endeavors.

Questions on the ASVAB?
I wantto be an Army Ranger. i know you need at least a 50 to qualify for it. Is it all basic math and Basic Paragraph comprehension and word knowledge? or does it get more diffcult?

PracticeASVABQuestions.com answers:
No, there are quite a few more sections than just math and word knowledge, but they’re not much more difficult.
That link has all the sections on it and how many questions each section has.
Just so you know, I wouldn’t bother studying or anything. The test is pretty simple, and the questions are random enough that studying would be very difficult. Just don’t stress out, get a good night’s sleep before and concentrate when you’re taking the test. I’m sure you’ll do fine.

Questions about the ASVAB test?
ok so i plan on joining the military at the end of this year.i am homeschooled and am worried about getting a really low grade.on my practice test this is what i got:
General Science-40%
Arithmetic Reasoning-76.7%
Word Knowledge-88.6%
Paragraph Comprehension-93.3%
Auto & Shop Information-32%
Mathematics Knowledge-68%
Mechanical Comprehension-16%
Electronics-45%
does that mean i made a 57.5% on it?
(oh i have no clue on mechanical stuff, like cars, ect., and i only know the very basics of algebra right now and have no experience with trig and only a little with geometry.also i am now learning science now so i expect to see an improvement on that grade, and yes i will eventually will be doing more advanced algebra and some geometry so i expect to see my mathematics knowledge score to improve to.)
what is the average grade on the ASVASB test?
to get into the army i need a score of 31,does that mean i have to score a 31 on all the sub tests or is that what i have to get on the whole test
also what is the army helicopter pilot called,i can’t seem to find it in this link:
http://www.military.com/ASVAB/0,,ASVAB_MOS_Army.html

PracticeASVABQuestions.com answers:
Ask a recruiter about the asvab score, on my practice i got 115 out of 200 which is the length of the test i think and i was looking on an MOS sheet that could get you pretty much anything along with a score of 105 to 110. And the army helicopter pilot is called an warrant officer
